Yeah, so its been awhile again since I wrote on this. Haven't had many cathartic pictures to post, so writing just seems like a broken record. Beekman is still pretty much the same. Rampant drug dealing, menacing teens, children who should be in bed crying at 11pm, honking dollar vans speeding down Flatbush, pollution smell heavy in the apartment with windows open, blatant drug use, barking pit bulls, domestic abuse on the street and just all around screaming.
Thought I'd reach out to the Guardian Angels for some support, but guess that was just a solution from the seventies. Never responded back to me. Hurts to see Eric Adam's district office right around the corner always locked up. Only in New York could a Senator's office be in such a terrible area and the guy go completely without scrutiny. Shameful.
Otherwise only picture have been able to get is one right now during my day off. While watching a woman in a van blare music while her son embarrassingly tried to make her turn it down, a cop car came by to the end of the block. Every once and a while you randomly see a police officer go into this apartment building for about 5 minutes and then come out. I know this because I'm always looking to see if the block is ever being patrolled in any manner, and the only times I ever see a cop is during this scenario. Always a white-shirted officer, always one of the nicer patrol cars. I think this is significant only because its the only time I ever any authority on the block. I'm no Serpico, but somethin' just don't seem right.
